I can't quite say I like Tom Waits.. I've tried to listen to his stuff, and tried to like it but I just can't get with it.

"waterfall" by escher has always been a favorite:

there are more but i'm really drawing a blank as far as specific paintings. i'm a fan of derek hess, audrey kawasaki, dali, picasso, waterhouse, etc.

Madonna and Child by one of my all time favorite artists, William Adolphe Bouguereau.
I also love Nymphs from him. Well, actually I love all his work.

I looked at the Nighthawk painting every day for over 15 years. My work colleague had it handing on his wall and it was always visible from my office until he retired. Great picture.
