So last week I finally scored an iPhone 5 via the online reservation system.
Ordered 16GB Black. Next day before I went to go pick it up, I sold my Black iPhone 4S 16 GB Unlocked for $380. Then went on over to the Apple Store and picked up my iPhone 5 Black 16GB.. While waiting with the Specialist I got to look at the White iPhone 5.. Well its been a few days and I can't help or get over how amazing the White looks. I'm really beating myself up over my decision.. Not only that, I don't know if I should just stick it out or really try exchanging, but from reading this forum, I know it may be impossible. I know I can return it then try again but then I'll really be phone-less. lol

Anybody feel the same way I do, anybody have that Post-Buying iPhone Color decision?

Keep trying the online system. Once the white is available for pickup exchange the black. Hopefully it will be within the return window. That way you won't be without a phone.

I didn't like the white 4S so went black. On iPhone 5 launch day, before getting in line, I went in and checked both models. White looked way nicer than the white 4S, but the black and slate is so amazing I decided to pass on white and go black again.

I think the main reason why I won't probably get a white (ever) is because how it looks when the screen is off. That huge 16:9 black screen in contrast with the white phone is... ugly (imo).

That's actually the reason I bought the black iPhone 5.

The iPhone 5 was the first iPhone I got in white. I actually like it...mainly I like the brushed aluminum look of the back.

I scored myself an iPhone 5 as well, the white one. Loving everything about the phone and mine is in perfect condition. I originally wanted a black one, so I'm hoping that my store gets that model in pretty soon. I decided to just go ahead, get the white one to see if I liked the phone. So far, so good. :)

I can relate to this, I was in the online Apple reservation system the last few nights hoping for a 16GB in Black and none was there even the White ones were not available until Wednesday night i was able to get a White 16GB even though i wanted a Black one. When i went to the Apple store yesterday to pick it up I asked the specialist if i could exchange the white one for a black one and she said they did not have stock. I had already sold my iphone 4 so rather than being without a phone I went ahead and stayed with the white one instead of doing a return then taking a chance in waiting for whenever the Black iphones come available. It seems like the stock must appear at random on the Apple reservation site as i did see a few people in the Apple store picking up Black iPhones.

Apple should really make a "convertible" for u guys who can't make up ur minds.

This may help you decide: There is a thread here that goes, "I notice Asians and Women tend to go for Whites!" ;)

Another thread says "White Back too shinny!"

Personally I go white, but don't go by me. My reason: 5 too easy to scratch, and when scratched u see the shinny aluminum under. White u don't notice as much. BUT DON'T GO BY ME!
