Can anyone comment on the increased heat aspect of either of these cases? I live and work in places that frequently hit over 100F, and also use my machine outside, so it's kind've important. Any experiences?

Ya, I'm curious also. I don't even care about the scratches people are talking about, I just want the hard case to keep my MBP from bending when I put it in a back pack. I have the 13" MBP, and a North Face Recon back pack. The back pack has a laptop sleeve, but I figured just a fabric sleeve isn't going to give me the structural protection I want from books and bending etc. I ride a bike to school, and I do not load my back pack up with books, usually just one small text book and notebooks.

But you know how back packs bend sometimes at the small of your back? Or when leaning over will bend the opposite direction? That's the stuff I'm talking about. This spec hard case seems perfect for what I want.

A few users mentioned temps being no different. So this product really seems like a winner. Plus I saw some video of people installing on their computers (youtube) and it snaps perfectly on, don't have to force it or anything. When something measures that precisely, in my mind, that is the sign of a quality product. If you have to force something on or it's to loose, you can tell not much thought went into it.
