also, I feel like the heavy power brick hanging off a wall is more likely to get knocked off the wall by someone walking by. the extension cord fits into the wall much more securely (no doubt aided by the grounding plug), so I always use the extension cord

extension cord....all the way...the mini one is dangerous(should have been recalled if i had my way)...i have had people bring in ends that have pins broken off into the wall...very dangerous.
