Not sure what inspired me to do this, but here you go!

Is this normal? Do I have a problem? 😇

I've got quite a bit of a horde myself, primarily because I only upgrade when I feel it's necessary, and I don't trade in my old phone once I do upgrade. I did have an iPhone 8 in between the 6S and XR but gave it to a family member.

The iPhone 5, 5S, and rose gold SE are no longer working. It's my all time favourite iPhone form factor so I bought the silver SE second hand, just so I could still have a working one. It's my secondary device with the 13 as the daily driver.

If it makes you happy ¯\_(ツ)_/¯

I do recycle mine; I figure having obsolete electronics floating in a junk drawer does me little to no good. But you do you!

I tend to use them a long time for this and that, but yeah I think it’s past time I recycle some of these. Lots of good memories made with those phones…

It’s kindof cool to think about the many times my iCloud account has re-incarnated into a new physical device throughout the years.

6S 64gb / SE 32gb/ SE 16b / 8 64gb / 13 128gb

All are in perfect working order and have been my daily driver minus the SE 32gb which was only used as a secondary device for a few months.

All of the above, minus the 13, have had OEM battery replacements from Apple. I will have the 13’s battery replaced in early 2025.

I've had pretty much every one since the 3G but I don't see the point in keeping them.

Seeing all these lovely historical models makes me want to just go out and purchase some myself and make some art ?
My first iPhone that I used as a primary phone was the iPhone 5. I had a 3GS that was given to me, that I gave away to someone else.

But…I own another 3GS, a 4 and a 4s. Phones I never used as primary phones, especially when they were being sold by Apple.

The 4s cost me $25. The 4 cost me $20 and I think I paid $30 for the 3GS. All three phones are fully functional and I boot them periodically.

So, if going out and buying older phones is something you want to do, it's not going to cost you very much.
