I'm in love with ProMotion, and I created this thread so we can all share information about ProMotion with one another.
I've noticed that ProMotion gets disabled (it's extremely easy [for me, anyways] to tell the difference between the faster screen refresh rates and the slower screen refresh rates when I scroll up and down a website) when the phone is too hot (i.e., when the display brightness is lowered by iOS until the phone cools down).
Couldn't having ProMotion on actually help the iPhone actually cool down faster, given the fact that ProMotion can reduce the screen refresh rate to as low as 10Hz when a faster screen refresh rate isn't needed, thereby reducing battery charge consumption?
I've also noticed that my iPhone 13 Pro Max tends to get in this hot "status" a lot more often than my iPhone 12 Pro ever did. Is anyone else experiencing this?
