I do not have strong reception at home, but it's usually adequate for both calls and surfing. I am not having any problem with dropped signal or losing bars in the display.

On the first day, I could get it to drop all the bars with either hand in bad locals.

Second day, down to two bars, but no more.

Today is the third day and I can't get it to drop signal strength at all no matter where I am.

I still think there is an issue, but I am loving everything else about this phone so much that I am willing to wait it out. I am not saying I accept a design flaw, I want to be able to grip this phone any way I need to in order to not drop it.

But oddly enough, things are improving day by day.

That’s great, but to fully check this, you need to be in an area with poor reception. At least that is what everyone seems to be saying across the net.

then why do all the video we see show they all have 5 bars? if you where in a poor reception area you wold have 1 or 2 bars. I have tried to replicate it with every method posted, even the key method and have never been able to make the phone drop more than 1 bar

home with 5 bars it goes to 4
at work with 3 bars it goes to 2
always maintains 3g

now if all the videos show going from 5 bars to searching, shouldn't mine at least go to searching when I start with 3 bars?

How do I put this? No!!!! Go to a location which someone has confirmed as a place where iPhone 4's drop signal whilst the bottom left corner is bridged. Until then you are just one of the many people who want to believe that their iPhone is perfect.

Philly and South Jersey

I have had my phone since launch....no real signal drop to speak of....drove around the city all day Friday and was in S Jersey today....signal was good to very good in most places.....I have a bumper on my phone....took the bumper off and put on an IFrogz case....still minimal issues

You are not helping those that have problems by posting 'mine is perfect' threads.

Seriously. Some of us ARE having issues. Just enjoy your phone and let Apple address those that have problems.

That's not the goal. The goal is to overturn this FALSE stigma about iPhone 4 that *everyone* has the issue. They don't. Factually. I want people to know that.

no reception issues here. Slight issues the morning I got the phone. That's it. Great after that.

no issues. minus 3g just randomly slow in some areas, but thats not the phone per say thats just some areas don't have as good 3g! and im also convinced alot of iphones that have been activated and played with are hurting the 3g data. cause its a new toy for them.
