Ordered my 32GB iPhone 4 at full retail from Apple Store! Now it's time to wait. Total price... $747. Eeek! But with selling my old phone, it wont be as bad.

If ordered thru Apple can you check the Verizon site for confirmation? Sounds dumb but don't want to not get phone for a few weeks because I went thru Apple instead of Verizon.

So what the difference with those who received confirmation emails if they are at the same status as the rest of us who haven't received conf emails...

"We received your order and it is in process."

I'm sure their email system is probably just behind, etc. I don't think there's a difference. That's what I wanted to know.

i haven't received my email yet, but I have the same status.

Could also be email providers. The sudden influx may be triggering spam guards on email providers which may delay our confirmation emails.

someone else claims to have my order #593. strange. i think the first page also has two people with order #1.
why is this?

HA-HA! AWESOME!

I can't believe I just spent that much $ on a phone! That's a new pair of Paradigm speakers! Oh well I split it onto 2 debit cards so I coud feel better!!

I guess I'll look around for a case this week. Definitely ditching assurion and getting squaretrade though!

is squaretrade legit?

It appears to be completely legit. There are tons of videos from news stations covering it, and they are highly rated by customers. I just found out about it today too, and will be dropping the Asurian coverage I chose and going with SquareTrade when my phone gets here.

Got one in the cart at VZW but, I'm waiting 2 minutes to see if Apple store is back up. Full retail $50 less is making me wait. :D

I know what you mean. I was waiting too, finally caved and just paid the extra $50. Glad I did...still managed to get order number in the low 300's. I am a tad irritated that they would even charge the extra $50 for the full retail price. I am going to give them just as much money over the next two years as anyone that spent $199.

yea i was just on the site reading about it and i wonder why every iphone user doesnt have it. it sounds almost too good to be true

The only problem with SquareTrade is that you can only make one claim. So it's $99 for the plan, then you break your phone and pay the $50 deductible to get it fixed or replaced... so overall it costs you $149 but then you're done. You have to buy a new plan after that.

Or, you can just take it to Apple and get it replaced for $199 if and only if you need to. With the insurance, you're paying $99 no matter what, even if you don't use it. Then if you do use it, you pay $50.

so when you buy an iphone does it come with a year of apple care?

Comes with a standard 1yr warranty, and you can add Apple Care anytime during that.

Apple Care, though, only covers defects past the 1yr mark. Doesn't cover dropping your phone, etc, like Insurance or SquareTrade would. Insurance is the only way to cover theft/lost, though.

Got my confirmation email. Placed order at 11:52pm and recieved my email confirmation at 1:08 am. I have order number 2196! Now just look at acc. online and wait for my little brown box to arrive..

So are you saying that Apple will replace an iPhone for $199? Does that include if its broken? The insurance on Verizon is $10 a month with a $199 deductable...hardly seems worth it. I did get it, but will probably cancel it.

Correct. From what a lot of users here have told me, Apple will replace your iPhone for $199, regardless of what's wrong with it. You can be in or out of warranty and still get a new one for $199. This includes physical damage, cracks, smashed, etc... The only thing they won't cover, from what I understand, is if the iPhone is in a million little pieces. But if it's smashed, they will still do it, as long as it's not in multiple pieces.
