Usage: 4 hours, 25 minutes
Standby: 1 Day, 4 Hours
Battery Percentage: 37%

Been using it to check email, twitter, reddit, web browsing, a bit of gaming, and an hour or so of podcast listening. Probably about 40 minutes of talk time as well. Everything is enabled except bluetooth, brightness at about 40%.

Very happy with the battery life.

Mostly facebook and texts, no app use, all within the first day (Y)

Yes it does say its been charged since - It ran out of battery so I took a screen pic of it once it had been turned on...

EDIT: Just realised how epic-ly big the screen is ;)

My battery blows. I drop about 20% overnight.

3G always on. Fetch 30 min no wifi no notifications and brightness 30% roughly.

I'm returning it tomorrow.

Today with just safari use I went from 75% to dead in about 2 hours.

I am posting mine again in hopes to get some feedback. Do my stats look normal?

I am at a similar point on my phone.. so I thought I would compare. Most of my usage is Safari.. little facebook.. and Pandora (not long)

Was at work during most of this time with 3G going in standby mode.. not sure if that matters.

Just a heads up, you don't need to cycle a lithium-ion battery. 100%->0% and 0%->100% is really hard on it. To get the longest life out of your battery, charge to 80% and discharge to 20%. Li-Ions don't suffer from "memory loss" that nickle-cadmium batteries used to do. While it's obviously not easy to do this all the time, the more you stick to the 80-20 rule, the longer your phone will run in the long run.

More info over at batteryuniversity.com :D

BatteryUniversity and Apple both encourage monthly cycles. Otherwise, your statement is accurate.

I fully charged my phone last night and unplugged it at 9am this morning. 7 hours later, I've played about 3.5 hours of Angry Birds (with sound off) while the remaining time was spent browsing the web.

I'm down to 8%....is this normal?

Thats pretty good I'd say.. I am just worried that you can play Angry Birds for 3.5 hours.

Im trying to figure out why you started a iphone 4 thread when your picture says the iphones lifetime is 39days... making it a 3G or 3GS with low battery life...

I believe all of that carries over if you use your backup from your previous iPhone. :) In that case.. if he is worried about it, do a clean restore!

Yeah mine was from backup as well.

My battery is being slaughtered.

Doing a restore tonight but I doubt it fixes the issues. I mean I'm literally dropping 1% a minute. With almost everything off.

So far today:

Usage: 1 hour, 19 minutes
Standby: 8 hours, 31 minutes

Battery life: 80%

Coming from a 2 year old iPhone 3G, I am very happy with the battery life, especially standby battery time.

Pretty similar to mine:

Usage: 1 hour, 45 minutes
Standby: 9 hours, 55 minutes

Battery life: 80%

I am very happy with the battery life on the iPhone 4 as well.

Couldn't be happier. Charged all the way up over the weekend and then let it die (to condition the battery - if that is even still recommended). Results below. Way better than anything my 3GS could do. I have the exact same settings as when I had the 3GS. Brightness around 30%-40%, Fetch 15min, Location off except when needed. Pretty normal use of email, phone, web surfing, 3G and WiFi, a little GPS, etc. Fully charged it up again this morn and I'm at 1hr 6min and 4hr 35min with 86% left. Will be interested to see if I get similar results as over the weekend.

Any idea why My stats are blanked out???? it does say usage will be shown after iphone is fully charged, but i charged this puppy for almost 24 hours. I charged it while it was completely off and when i rebooted the battery was all the way up and showing 100%

One idea is maybe a glitch from using my backup info from itunes. which is why the pic shows lifetime of 36 days. etc

I'm having the same problem!! I just restored my phone (still from backup) and the counter is reset, but that's usually how it starts out in the morning after I take my phone from the charger. I noticed this the other day and read on one of the forums that this will happen if the phone has to be "hard reset." I have had to do that a few times and figured this was the cause of the problem. However today i didn't have to and it still showed up like this.

Hopefully the restore works!

Just plugged in my phone to charge:

Usage: 1:59
Standby: 12:01
68% battery

On my 3G I'd be down to the 20% range by now.....:D

Battery 20%
Usage 5 hrs,15 minutes
Standby 6 hrs, 56 minutes

used email, twitter with push, facebook with push, about 20 mins of facetime calling, whatsapp chatting, web browsing,3 hrs of music on ipod

2 Exchange Emails, push calendar
Bluetooth on
wifi on
3g on
location services on
brightness 60 - 70%

i feel like something isn't right with my battery. it was fully charged this morning. i barely used it at work. was on it for about 30 minutes when i got home. safari and godfinger and it's at 46%.

Off to a music festival for 5 days later in the week. Have a booster charger & solar panel for the charger (plus the weather's going to be good).

Will turning data/wifi/Bluetooth off give me a few days anyway?

I can't figure out why I'm already so low with such limited usage time.

My iPhone 4 (2nd one as the 1st was replaced dut to battery issues) was 100% at 5AM this morning. It is now 10:16PM EST and its still at 66%. According to useage, I talked on it for a little over 2 hours today. Bear in mind that much of my useage today was in either EDGE or poor coverage areas (mountains). I also have email set to check every 15 minutes, wifi and BT always on, and brigthness around 70%.

17 hours and still at 66%!

My 1st one would be 100% at night (powered off) and I would turn it on and it would be 50%.

Charged last night to full before bed. Played a few hours of MP3's today and listened to some streamed podcasts over 3g. No push, no Bluetooth.

Usage 3hrs 7min.
Standby 13hrs, 12 minutes
77% charge.

End of daY
Usage: 5 hours 56min
Standby: 16 hours 34 minutes
60% charge.

So assuming things track the same (which they never do) that's around 12 hours of use.
