That’s not true in the slightest; internal components do not have third party SDKs. All internal components are under the full control of Apple at the silicon level.

i’m not saying i know much about stainless steel but.. i know there are many many versions. to say it’s cheap, i would think of garbage steel that forks that come from walmart..
on the more expensive end, i know knives come in a variety m390, 204p, elmax, s90v , s110v.. all very premium stainless..

Yes it is true. I work on them. Not all componets have a need for software integration either. A 120hrtz variable refresh rate screen does. Never said Apple doesnt have full control or that Apple uses them, but they could. They are there to use. Not that Apple will use them. Its for internal purposes, Samsung offers it to all its partners who buy their panels. You misunderstood my post. I was saying i dont think Apple will do a better job at getting the 120hrz refresh rate to uneffect battery life better than Samsung, you know the company who makes the panels.

Yes Steel is cheap relative to 7000 series Aluminum. Even surgical grade steel. 7000 Aluminum is a more premium metal, costs almost 4 times as much. 7000 series Aluminum is very similar to titanium. There is a reason the Aerospace industry uses it to make spacecraft and satellites. Its strength to weight ratio is only bettered by titanium, which it was created to replace as a cheaper alternative to titanium in the Aerospace industry.
