There are many different leaks so chances are that the first three pics aren't the actual iTouch. And companies usually have multiple different prototypes, so we just have to wait.
No. That is the DVT third-generation touch. It was manufactured in 2009. There have been many leaks of the third gen touch that was never released, this is one of them.
Microphone, stronger/enhanced speaker and just maybe... camera flash.
It's basically an iPhone on WiFi.

Yes, it's been leaked quite a few times, both before and after the release of the third generation touch. One of the prototypes appeared on eBay a few days ago.
Yes it will probably come out during Apple's next event which is August 16 or 17. If I were you I would return your iPod Touch and when the new one comes out you can either get the new one or one of the older ones for a lot cheaper.

The iPhone 4 is anything but a brick. It was quite comfortable in my pocket, even with a case on it.
