is there a way a can create a link in my posts to mp3's? Not for downloading of course, just so people can hear the music if they click on the link.

I also post on a music site and the info would be helpful. Thanks in advance...

You could just copy and paste the url into your posts. We'll see the .mp3 extension, so upon clicking on the link, a user's browser window will open up to the mp3 file using the Quicktime plug-in...

Maybe I'm not understanding your question correctly.

As long as the mp3 is hosted somewhere online its quite simple. Just post the link - for example typing in the following provides an automatic link : http://www.mypage.com/cool.mp3

You can't upload the mp3 - if that's what you're asking...

ya know, i guess i am asking about uploading because that's what gave me the idea. i figured maybe there was a way to create webspace for an mp3 similar to how pics are done using something like villagephotos.com.

i am of course, open to other solutions...thanks

Sounds like what you are trying to do is stream. You can't post a direct link to an MP3 otherwise the user can download it as well. You need to use a media for streaming, which happens to be .m3u or .pls. Just make sure your webhost has the proper mime settings, then you can link to them for stream. :)
