iPhone XR Post pics of your new XR!

I went to the store today and was seriously amazed by the portrait mode on the XR in comparison to my X, because of the wider angle. So awesome, love the look.
Would like to see how it behaves in different situations with worse light than the apple store and was wondering if some of you care to share some pix!

Do you think they’ll open up this feature on the wide lenses for next years “pro” phones as well?
If the XS could do it, I’d upgrade right now.

Took this on my iPhone XR, made the background messy to see how the single camera deals with it. Also note that it was taken in a low light environment. Using Halide.

How did you get portrait photos on halide to not be jagged edges and compressed looking ?

No idea, I just turn on the depth option and took the shot. I did intentionally mess up the background to make it difficult but the app handled it well.

Also I have no idea how my reply to a thread on “portrait shots taken on iphone XR” got transferred over to this thread.

I’ve been using it about the same as the X. I thought the LCD would have been the biggest pain point, but all iPhones previous to the X used LCD, so it’s not that bad at all.

Color wise, I’m loving the true white. I like that the aluminum bands are a milky color to almost match the white glass. Unlike on the X it’s a silver band.

The pure white is much nicer imo than the weird silver-ish white
