Yeah, they confirmed that the Blue was not going to be ready until Dec. So they offered me $10 refund so I decided to keep the olive. Apparently it was a glitch on Amazon's web site that indicated blue was ordered, but the code was for the Olive. I think you have the right idea to just wait and see what Apple eventually does when it comes to the XR.
I do like the patina over time on these leather cases and the olive on the black phone does look nice!

Wow, I really like how this looks. If I didn’t have a X already and had only my 7, I’d totally grab one. I wonder why there are so many good looking cases for the XR but not for the other models, ha

Really lovely shot, with a very nice wallpaper ... I dunno if anyone feels similarly, but I've noticed the bezel looks extra thick in cases...I put a clear Otterbox case on my red XR and it looks just as thick

Yeah that white is sweet, but I like all the various colors honest having folks share pictures of them has been nice to see.
I agree with you that certain cases make that bezel stand out and therefore look bigger. I have tried several cases and some them are just horrible in adding bulk overall. I don't like that even at the risk of less protection. When I tried the Xs Max though I felt the same way.
I get what you mean about cases and the bezels, I was wondering if anybody would make a case that wraps around the phone a bit more to help cover them up, but I suspect that would interfere with gestures, and with installing/removing the case.
I picked my particular case because (IMO) it’s grippy and still pretty thin, providing basic drop protection. Coming from a 6, I prefer the “handling” of the larger phone in a silicone case vs naked.
Because I did come from the 6, the screen>casing ratio on the XR is so much better. I think the only people that the bezels might bother are people moving from a X, XS, or XSM.
