Calliope on the mend after her spaying on Monday…
Any ideas on how to keep her still and not running around like a little demon? 😀

No ideas. I just had my two kittens neutered two weeks ago. Got the same advice from the vet, no running, no jumping, no wrestling around. So I said,"so, don't be a cat then?"

I didn't do anything to contain them and they're doing just fine so far.

When my dog got neutered (RIP) many years ago, they told me he'd be "out of it for a day or two and not his usual self". I got home, put the little idiot down, and he started sprinting and parkouring off of everything he could reach.

Similar thing with my kittens. The pain meds I was told would stay in their system for up to 3 days and they might be hyperactive - further in contradiction to their instructions to contain them. Also, the cats might play in water too.

One of them absolutely played in water and splashed all the water out of the dishes every day for 3 days.
