No prob, its a bit smaller than the native res but even stretched a bit you can't notice the pixels. I have a whole folder from the same artist, if you want all of them let me know and I can share it with you, or anyone interested.

Congrats on the purchase! I'd love to get your thoughts on the differences in performance between the 2 processors. Going off of benchmarks (not always a reliable measurement of real-world performance) the 1.2ghz shows a noticeable bump in performance.

Joe a quick feedback about what you requested.
I've been using the 1.2 non stop since monday and now I think I've gotten a hang on the real world performance with the usual low level tasks. I've used it for web browsing, watching netflix, Mic office work, mail, Skype, etc. And for that it is just more than enough with this machine, everything is smooth and no hitches at all. I used the Gold 1.1 for a while today and did some web browsing and some work on an excel sheet and pdf work. Although it handled everything pretty well i did notice that the 1.2 does open documents and windows just a bit faster, its almost unnoticeable but using them both side by side you do notice that theres a little more eagerness and smoothness on the 1.2. If someone just got the 1.1 for this kind of daily use it wouldn't be a problem at all, you'll be fine, but comparing it directly with the 1.2 does show this small but existing difference.

Lol. Yup. Or a TwelveSouth high rise stand
By the way it doesn't seem like the monitor is mirroring your MacBook display. What's up with that? I've never worked with external displays on my laptop (except when presenting stuff) so I don't really know the deal there.

You can either mirror your Mac's display (kinda useless for most situations) or use it as an extended display. It's like having a larger desktop to spread out your windows and files. This is the default setting.

There is an option to mirror the display, but most people don't need to see the same image, only bigger, they want more space.

Absolutely. I leave the 12" MacBook open at the default 1280x800 resolution and run 1920x1080 on a 27" external monitor. Gives me plenty of room to work.

When I'm just using the MacBook display, I bump it up to a scaled 1440x900 to get a bit more screen real estate.

Is that counter strike?
Yes, the original 1.6 version.

I tried the CS GO but that doesn't run well even with the lowest resolution. With the 1.6 I can run it in full resolution 2k something and the fps is good. I do have a small issue though sometimes when returning from a game into Windows the screen goes crazy and does screen tearing. That is why I am running it windowed in the picture, it prevents it from happening. Had this issue with the dirt3 game also, something about going full screen that triggers it.

Seeing all these pictures is tempting me to have the rMB be my next computer. Anyone know how it compares to my base model 2012 11" MBA?

Well for me at least, the lack of travel just isn't nice. Plus IMO, when I go back to using a conventional Apple keyboard, I remember how nice a keyboard with travel is and I end up hating the rMB keyboard.
I find the opposite at least for me is true. I love the keyboard on my rMB but feel the keys on the older style laptops are large and clunky. Each to their own ;)
