thanks...i spent $30 brand new off ebay, not too bad. its real aluminum and matches my MBP perfectly

so far i've found it too easy to cover up the speaker by mistake muffling the sound
i like black things, but was up for a change so i got a white phone. but to protect it...
almost need a case to protect the case it looks so good!

It probably doesn't protect the bezel...most likely a snap on backing case
Just got my Charcoal Incase Slider in the mail and can you believe it doesn't close tightly? I'm starting to think that the 32GB version is somewhere different in dimensions from the 3G. I have 2 cases now that don't fit like the 3G did. Incase has awesome CS so hopefully they send me another.
Anyways, here is what it looks like next to other cases

Yeah, I went through 2 In Case sliders (Gunmetal) with my iPhone 3G. The second one cracked when I dropped a week ago so I was thinking I want something more durable.
Both my wife and I have InCase sliders and I just swapped hers (she has a 3G) onto my 3Gs and vice versa, seem to fit ok.
While I thought the InCase was the best case so far, I'm still interested in a carbon fiber case.
Now a carbon fiber slider would be the ultimate...yes it is. i wouldn't buy a lame faux-carbon case. it simply snaps onto the back of the phone.

God that carbon fiber cover is gorgeous. I have mixed feelings about their logo on the back being so obvious but it still looks real nice. I kinda want one. $55 though, grrr. My problem is that I've already bought two covers I'm unsure I like enough to keep, now I wanna buy this one, and I also was thinking about buying the Mophie Juice pack air battery case. This is a lot of money to be spending on covers/accessories, lol. Can I get much of a return on my money if I buy all this stuff and then sell what I don't end up liking enough to keep?
this thread is cracking me up. I bet all those morons waiting in line would have been pissed to learn I went to my local best buy at 11am and at 1122 walked our with 2 32G 3Gs phones, my son is looking forward to tuesday.
The scene at the chicago apple store on north michigan avenue this morning. I woke up and left the house at this morning which means i got 2 hours of sleep. I got in line and had my new (and first) iPhone by 7:30 and took this picture (with my 30D) on my way back home...to sleep/sync.
Congrats to all the new owners.
I have to compliment the posters on their quality pictures, if you could please post what cameras you guys are using.
Now bring on jail break so we can get the most out of out new toys.....

The chicago apple line, despite how daunting it looked, wasn't that bad. They had almost 50 (and i'm not exaggerating) people checking out at the same time. The entire second floor was dedicated to iphone activation. It took maybe 25 minutes to get in and out of there for me (though i was at the front of the line when it first opened).
Plus they were really nice. They passed out water to people in the line and when it rained they passed out free umbrellas.
I breifly thought about going to a best buy, walmart, or att store, but since i didn't preorder the earliest i could get it was when those stores opened to the public which was 10 for most of them and i needed to be at work at 12 but i wanted enough time to sync at home. The apple store was offering 7 for everyone so i opted to get there early and it payed off. Got to work an hour early.
And i mentioned that i was using a Canon 30D. What i didn't mention was the lense, a 50mm f/1.4.
Prime all the way.

I'm digging that carbon fiber look, but i think i'm gonna go with a vaja case. I've been looking forward to one for a while now. They're a little expensive, but highly customizable and come in a variety of styles/colors. check em out

I got my iPhone 3GS after standing in line for two hours yesterday. Not bad, but not fun either.
I had pre-ordered a couple of cases in preparation. This is my "casual" case. Bright, outrageous and girly! I ordered the SwithEasy Capsule Rebel in Cherry and purchased the Orange add-on back.
I know the color combo is not for everyone, but it's fun and something no one else will be sporting!
(I also ordered a red leather case for business situations I'll post pics of as soon as I find my camera cord.)

I have a B&W Zeppelin iPod speakers and I'm wondering if the 30-pin connector would still fit in the dock
BTW, B&W dock fits to all models and they tilt back and forth so the back thickness wouldn't be an issue but the bottom 30-pin and around it should be level or close to level.

It'll fit no problem. It may say "This accessory is not made to work with iPhone" but it works no problem. The connectors are the same.
I mean, would it fit with the OSIR carbon fibre case still in place in the B&W Zeppelin?
