omg im amazed at the quality of some of these pictures O.O simply amazing. some of these pics in this thread are better or about the same quality as my camera. here is some pics from my 10 megapixel Nikon S560. this is Currituck lighthouse in North Carolina btw

Photography is 80% the photographer, 20% the camera.

I posted one of these previously but this is after some very minor touchups in Aperture (adjusted sharpness, contrast and saturation of a few specific colors).

are you sure these were taken with 3GS?... They're 1024x768 & the dof looks wrong. Apologies if I'm wrong.

Yes they were taken with a 3GS then cropped and resized in Aperture (and I added a bit of saturation and sharpness).

I posted the unedited versions somewhere on an earlier page of this thread.

I should add - the thing that makes these pictures so special is that the lighting was absolutely perfect when I took them (bright just before sunset light directly on my bird).

Yay for AdBlock! Those pictures were good but WAY to large for me and the forums. If you upload them through 'Manage Attachments' you can paste the URL they'll show up as a smaller picture people can click on to see the full size.
