I would like people to distinguish whether they are on a Pay & Go sim, or Pay Monthly sim, since there has been talk on the O2 forums that the Pay & Go 3G speed may be capped.

It would be good to get a lot of different results together to see what is going on with the O2 3G network in terms of speed and contract type.

For my figures above it's a contract SIM.

Here are some speed tests results. I'm on Pay and Go. Since changing my SIM and phone (3GS instead of 3G) my speeds have gone way up.

Before I couldn't get above 400. O2 told me there was a speed issue for some Pay and Go customers. They tried some unauthorised fix which raised speeds but then said they had to take it off.

Anyway, all seems well with the new phone and SIM.

are speeds on O2 pay & go throttled? this seems a bit low to me!
if that is the case, if i switch to a simplicity plan would the speeds be similar to pay monthly?
