I have been having an issue for the last few months.

Every once in a while the bottom section of the page never completes. I'm not sure if this is an issue with the ad space on the bottom of the page or some other reason. This issue is popping up on about every third post today which is why I'm posing the question.

The post reply and more importantly, the next page links are never drawn. This happens on both my PC running IE and at home on my Mac running Firefox.

I attached a photo of what it looks like (pretty normal actually):

This happens to me too, except the bottom ad doesn't even show up, the page just ends at the bottom of the last post of the page.

It's never happened in Safari, but it happens every now and then in IE at work.

The ad at the bottom has to read the page to decide what to show (it's a targeted ad).

They just need more horsepower for this function to make it near-transparent for the viewer.

BTW, something must have changed somewhere, I'm getting good response now.

Getting this problem as well. It is happening most of the time now. Its not a biggie but a bit of an annoyance when you want to go to the next page of a thread or reply!!

Hope it gets sorted :)

When this happens in Firefox, does the status bar say "Done", i.e., has all data been received and the page finished rendering, or is the problem that not all data is making it from the MacRumors server to your web browser?

Yes, .... to the second part.

And I am using Safari, last update.

The more posts on a page, the longer it takes the targeted ads to make a determination.

Seems that way, anyway.

I noticed that the successful page completion only happen when there's no ad on the bottom.

I didn't notice whether firefox had an error or not. I'll pay attention tomorrow, but it was better today. It had started to get really bad in the last week or two.

finally fixed this problem.... sorry it took so long.

it was an ad rendering issue.

It's a LOT better now, but it does still happen on occassion.

Thanks,

Hmm... is it possible the old js files were still cached? If it still happens, even intermittently, let me know, and a screenshot helps.

thanks

It looks like the non-google ads are the ones that are causing the problem.

Here's two snapshots:
