It’s British summer here boys. 19°C and sunny in London right now and it’s 10:20 in the morning. Highest is predicted to go up to 22°C today.

It's the humidity. I lived in Houston as a kid from 1975-1980 and it was just killer. Houston was where I first learned the term 'heat-wave'.
I’ve met people that moved from Phoenix & they say the Houston heat is worse. I don’t know how true that is though lol

We have a saying out here…"It's a dry heat". Typically, humidity around here is less than 10%.

Your body cools down by sweating. When the air is humid it's already full of moisture so the sweat your body produces is much less efficient in cooling you down. Texas, at least the part I lived in (Houston), is very humid in the summer. Coming from the dry heat of AZ that's probably why they tell you it's worse.

Yeah the humidity here is always over 90% daily.
