Yea still really hot in the sun, but at least you can hide in the shade better when it's dry. Need too get inside to AC eventually when it is hot and humid.

Isaias has sights set on my area here in Eastern Upstate NY. Fortunately it'll be a fast-moving storm, and our dry summer so far has left TONS of room in the streams and rivers for the run-off from 4" of rain. We need rain, and the ground might soak a bunch of it up, but 4" in one day is too fast. The rain has already started.

The weather folks did give us some good news though - after today we won't have to know how to say "Isiaias"...

It was heat wave here in London today boys. 36°C. Probably gonna be the hottest day of the year.

Here in the Netherlands, it was also very hot yesterday. Where I live, it was about 37.8°C.
Our science institute for weather forecast (KNMI) are expecting an extreme heatwave here and has issued an orange weather code (warning for extreme weather).
Nothing compared to the weather in areas some of you live, but still. It's 11:14 AM when I post this, and it's already 31°C

Nope it has been crazy sunny since last couple of days. The beaches are heaving with people. #SocialDistancingIsDead

On a separate note, I’ve had 3 fans pointed at me 24/7.

This heat wave discussion reminded me off a really good video I watched earlier regarding why the same temperature means different in different countries. In case anyone is interested.

Yesterday, the temperature was around 33°C. This morning started a little bit cloudy, so I was confident that the temperatures today could be a bit lower than previous days. I was wrong: our max today here was 36.5°C. However: there was a bit more wind today, so that made it a little bit more tolerable.
25°C here in the Netherlands is pleasant. Once it rises above 30, it'll be less tolerable unless the wind is breezing the whole day and the humidity percentage is low (somewhere between 20-35%).
Our lows are no less than 23°C over the past few nights. It basically feels like the Costa Blanca in Spain 😅
