yea well story of my life was supposed to be delivered by 10:30 am and it's almost 12:30 pm trying to be patient

Well it certainly was an interesting morning. My UPS tracking said delivered by end of day but just after 10 this morning the truck was on my street, across the road at the neighbors house. I was actually waiting by the door but after finishing with the neighbor he got in his truck and drove off. Okey Dokey, it must be on a different truck. I ended up checking my tracking about 30 minutes later and it said "The customer was not available on the 1st attempt. A 2nd attempt will be made" What?

Called UPS and they told me they would contact the local facility and call back within an hour. I told them I would definitely pick it up myself rather than wait for a second attempt on Monday. Anyways, about 20 minutes later there is a knock on the door and it's the UPS guy with my phone so I don't really know what actually happened but do appreciate he came back and delivered it.

So anyways, time it should have been delivered 10:19am EST
Time it was actually delivered 11:32am EST

The delivery gods were good to me and had UPS deliver it at 8:37am ET! :)

Of course, I still didn't get to play with it until lunchtime, as it went to my wife's office...but it was nice to know early on that it hadn't gotten stuffed into some deep dark corner of my local hub, or the delivery truck!

:apple:

My iPhone was to be delivered by 10:30; it was delivered at 9:37.

(FYI: I live in a major city in a business district with multiple mail and UPS/Fedex deliveries per day.)

In my experience, while UPS isn't perfect, if they make a mistake they will do their best to correct it and send the driver back. With FedEx, it's more, "Sorry, we'll try again on Monday." There's another thread here where a guy had a similar issue with FedEx and they have stated they aren't coming back.

9:30 am EDT when I met the UPS driver at his earliest stop on his route. His wife is my wife's boss. He had it waiting on his dashboard for me! That is service!

My 32gb was delivered at 10AM. Wife's 16gb is scheduled for delivery at the end of the day. I guess UPS is not really good in their logistics.

UPS Sent My iPhone 5 to the Wrong State!

I checked the tracking last night and it said that the package had arrived in Newark. This morning it showed departed Newark and was out for delivery... Problem is that the last scan was in Menlo Park, CA!

Called UPS and they said not to worry they still had my delivery address correct.

Checked again at midday, and the tracking now showed as an exception with delivery date unavailable. I called UPS again, and my phone is indeed in CA, and they cannot give me a revised delivery date. I asked why they couldn't just turn it round and deliver tomorrow and they said that they couldn't do that.

Called a&t and they basically told me to deal with UPS.

I'm obviously very pi**ed at UPS, especially as their website assures customers that their iPhone will have an attempted delivery by the end of day today. As mine is on the other side of the country, I'm not holding my breath for a delivery any time soon... If at all.

Site showed "by 10:30" and it was delivered at 9:54 AM. This was delivered to my job, however. I suspect that if shipped to my home address it would have been much, much later.

It's a sweet phone, friends.

First impression? It's very light, and it's almost TOO thin. A case will be required (I carried my 4s without a case from time to time, and it was the perfect thickness. This one will be the perfect thickness when I get the case I've ordered)

I had a delivery window yesterday of between 3pm-7pm, otherwise known as by end of day. After a hectic afternoon of work, stressing that I wouldn't be home when it was delivered I got home at about 5:30 to happily see there was no failed delivery note on my door so settled down to wait. (Was supposed to meet friends for dinner at 6pm.)

At 6:55 still no delivery, called UPS who insisted it would be delivered that night, they were running behind, but had no idea when. Best help the nice woman on the phone could give me was to leave a note but said it's completely up to the driver if they'll allow it to be delivered with no sig. (Hub pickup is not an option for me since the hub is an hour away and closed at 5pm while I was still at work.)

So I left a note.

The happy ending is, the driver left my phone (at 7:45pm), and you can see they added a reply, hopefully they got a chuckle at what was probably the end of a very long day.

Mine came at 9:30 am (it was promised before 10:30 am).

My roommate stayed home to get it for me (he's so nice) and to work on the house (remodeling my bathroom).

He sent me a picture through iMessage to let me know he got it (which of course made me feel better, no worrying the UPS guy might ring the doorbell and run or something. Though I've never had an issue with that with the UPS guys who come to my house or even FedEx but I've heard stories of both UPS and FedEx drivers who never ring or ring and leave so quick you don't get a chance to get the door).
