I tried attaching a .zip file with all the custom icons, but it was too big. :(

what is used to program touch apps ? c, c++, delphi...

this would be an easy method to make a theme app.
 
I realllllly need to change the black background of the home screen,

I miss my old jail broken ipod touch, regretting upgrading to 2.0.


Does Cydia have anything that allows me to set the background from one of my photos?
 
can some one post a tutorial to jailbreak my ipod touch its on 2.0 firmware, but theres an error with WinPwn, so i would apretiate if u do post a tutorial, im runing a Windows Vista operating system, thanks for your help ^^
 
I never claimed to be a genius, so a question. I have pawned the ipod software. It is sitting in the correct folder on my mac.

Why can't I just plug in my Touch, launch iTunes and option + restore - selecting the correct file? What am I missing?

i know on an iphone if you tap the wake/sleep button and home button together just for a second, it will take a screenshot which will then appear in your photo album. i am not sure if that is the same way with the ipod touch, i have never tryed it
 
I wasted about 2/3 hours trying to jailbreak because i was stupid. I realized that you have to be on 1.1.4 or 2.0 to jailbreak with winpwn.
 
Error 6 - 1600

been there and done that.

i got the winpwn 2.0.3. windows vista, and a ipod touch..

i did everything as said. deleteing the files in the device support folder. loaded itunes then winpwn. made the custom restore without any problems.

put the touch in "duf" mode (with black screen) and i get a error 1600.
in recovery mode i get error 6..

i seen that i might be my usb ports so i tried the ones on the back. and it did the same thing..


and some say it could be due to the boot image im using. i tried the defalt one with winpwn and tried without selecting one and it's allt he same.


i seen somone talking about having to pwn the itunes before installing the custom restore. but noone is clear on what to do. i tho that was removing the files listed but i guess not..

is that the one thing im missing here ? or is there anything i'm missing :(

because you need to need to put it in DFU mode, follow the instructions in PwnageTool 2.0.1. It will get you where you wanna go.

yeah it does it's one of the options I love about 2.0.

Holy ****. That works.

@itzdemo.

Heres what i did. Find a 2.0 IPSW file and shift restore to 2.0. Choose that IPSW in winpwn, create a custom IPSW, then pwn itunes. Then shift restore to the custom.

MAN THANXX MUCH !@! at furst i didn't know what pwn itunes ment. yes im that new at this!

i had my ipod touch for about a month now and started with 1.1.4. seen a frineds 2.0 with the options that worked better then some of the old apps out i had to have it !

after finding out pwn itunes was just another option in winpwn ( at furst i diden't want to click it ) i diden't know what it was..

and it turns out it was the only step i was missing to jailbrak the touch !@!

what i did was

load itunes then winpwn.

build the custom firmware by loading the downloaded 2.0

after the was done click the ipwner button and load the custom firmware ( it will say when it pwn's it )

then put the touch in duf mode

and go to itunes and shift + restore !@!

after playing with this new cydia i think it's ok as good if not better then the old installer.

now im just hoping for a customize or summerboard to hit 2.0 !!@!

Customize is 2.0 Compatible!
Customize is now compatible with Firmware 2.0! There are still a couple of bugs (About page and Comments still not working), but all the good stuff is in there. You can download it here http://customizeapp.com/

or you can install it via Cydia (and Installer, soon).


YES !@! just wondering how soon is soon.. anyone got an idea on a date ?
 
current springboard, I have yet to customize anything as well customize doesn't DO anything, oh and I have yet to pay for an app you see on my springboard :D

where on cydia is it? I still have yet to see it on there, I had to manually install
