Condition: Replace Soon.

23 months? Apple will replace that I think you'll find, I'd take it in and get them to test it, the policy unless it's changed was that a battery failing to retain 80% of charge inside a year will be replaced free of charge. Take it in now while you have the chance.

Can someone tell me what one charge cycle is?
Like someone on page1 of this thread has 1076 charge cycles, what the hell does that mean? His battery died 1076 times???

And Im reading thru all of these posts but I still dont understand... should I not leave the charger in 24/7? How exactly does this battery business work?

PM me, if Im breaking some sort of annoyance rule here:confused:

Here is what Apple say regarding what a 'Battery Cycle' is:
About Battery Cycles

A charge cycle means using all of the battery’s power, but that doesn’t necessarily mean a single charge. For instance, you could use your notebook for an hour or more one day, using half its power, and then recharge it fully. If you did the same thing the next day, it would count as one charge cycle, not two, so it may take several days to complete a cycle.

For more information, please read Apple Portables: Determining battery cycle count.

Thanks!

Any estimate on how long the "life" of 1000 charge cycles is?
2-3 years?
Well if you go through one full charge cycle a day, every day, you'll reach 1000 cycles just shy of 3 years. If you go through a full cycle every two days, it'll take you around 5.5 years.

Even if they would replace it, the closest Apple store is ... 150 miles away..

Normal?

Also why does Grab only save in .tiff?
Couldn't find an option to change to jpg or png.

I don't think my coconutbattery is working properly. I've had my 2 MBPs for 6 years, not 12.

Magsafe seems to be working properly. This is a MBP mid-09 model.
Even with processor/memory heavy applications I can get about 3 hours out of my battery. You can get more, but I never sit around with the web off typing in word...
