I've had my mid-2012 Retina MBP for almost 3 years. After 212 loadcycles, the battery capacity is down to 91%. Still, I can watch 2 movies on a transcontinental flight!

Not doing so well after 5 years. 4 years using for college, 1-2 years using for work by day, doing personal stuff by night.

Is this normal? Are those a lot of cycles?

1.5 years ony my early 2013 refurb and already at 91%. I'm not optimistic.
Since battery health can fluctuate up or down over time, I wouldn't be concerned. The gradual decline is not in a straight line downward, and it may decline more rapidly at some times and slower at others.

Your battery age, cycles and health show it's time for a replacement. That's an average of just under a cycle per day. It's not extreme, but it's higher than average, I'd say. Do you frequently run on battery when AC power is available? If so, you may want to consider plugging in more often.

The link below should answer most, if not all, of your battery/charging questions. If you haven't already done so, I highly recommend you take the time to read it.

mid-2009 mbp 15 inch. Been a workhorse for me but probably time to replace now...

I need to download the coconut battery app and see what's up. The original battery on my 2010 13" MBP feels like it discharges a lot quicker now than it used to, but that's just my perception. How long do these usually last anyway? I've contemplated replacing it to see if I can get back some performance.

Not happy. Today is a good day so far; if I put a higher discharge rate on the battery (i.e. do something other than just taking notes) I can get the health to read 30%.

4-5 years is about right for an apple battery it will definitely be on it's way down at that age. You don't need coconut battery the same info is available in system report power in about my Mac...

This is mine, early 2013 15" rMBP, the design capacity varies by a few percent over time, both up and down.

Used every day as my work and home computer, hence so many cycles.
