I would not be concerned about the indication that your 4 month old MBP's battery's health is at 95 percent. It is normal for that number to jump all over the map. For example my less than 2 month old MBA's battery showed 97 percent health a few days ago. Since then, though, it has gone back up to 100 percent.

TBH I don't really read into these numbers much, because Im not sure what is "ideal". One thing I do know is that ever since I uninstalled flash, and started using the iPad user agent to view videos, my battery life has been SICK! In a great way...As in my battery lasts WAY longer per charge now than it did when it was brand new(but still had flash installed)

Why do some peoples coconut battery stats show battery power usage 0.0? Shouldn't the battery always be using power while its turned on?
When plugged into AC power, the Mac only draws battery power on rare occasions where the power requirement exceeds that available through AC power alone. The rest of the time, it only uses AC.

cocoanutBattery will give you the date of when your battery was manufactured, not when you bought the computer. So, your battery was made 4 months ago.
That is certainly not true. I had my MBP battery replaced by Apple. Coconut battery said 6 months old before they replaced it, and 6 months old after.
Although the quote is from back in August, you're right. coconutBattery doesn't show the age of your battery at all. It shows the age of your Mac.
This makes since, but I also noticed some peoples stats would say "Charging", so I wasn't sure.
Charging means they're plugged into AC power, but the battery isn't fully charged, so it's recharging the battery while running on AC power. If the battery is fully charged, it's running on AC power but not charging or using the battery.

you're 1 mah away from the design capacity? It looks near perfect to me. Coconut battery readings fluctuate constantly. You could be down to 97% tomorrow. You should also calibrate your battery for a more proper reading as you should have more than 9 cycles in 16 weeks.

I wouldn't replace a battery unless it was totally dead or not functioning or holding a charge.
People with anything less than 99% are talking about buying new batteries/acting like their dog died or something. Jeez. lol.
Anyway...I have a mid 2007 macbook that I recently purchased off ebay, and the battery capacity is at 91%. I am calibrating it right now. But overall I am impressed, not bad for a nearly 4 year old machine.
Edit: Hmm, since I've been calibrating it, the capacity seems to have gone up to 94%. Sweet.
