I've only calibrated my battery once in these ten months.

Any tips to keep cycles low number? Ever since owning macbook pro since 2009 the number of cycles goes high number even if the computer is few weeks old, and today 2012 nothing change for my carelessness for battery usage on my macs.
Run on battery when you can't plug in. Run plugged in when you can. Just don't run on AC power all the time.

I have this laptop less than a month.

age of mac says 17 weeks though...

Don't worry too much about the cycles, I average a bit less than one per day... the batteries are supposed stay above 80% for 1000 cycles, and even after that will still be perfectly usable.

@heebeejeebies

Wow, that's a monster battery. 36 month, 1400 cycles, and still above 90%. Nice :)

I've had my Macbook Pro for less than a week and the design capacity says 96% :( - Shouldnt I be at 100% like you guys who have had your Macbooks for at least half a year?
Battery lasts for 6 hours, give or take, with brightness at 50% and only browsing non-flash websites.

lol. 12 Load cycles, 10 months? What's the point of buying a laptop if you never use it on the go?

I'd say I'm doing pretty good don't you think?

It is perfectly normal if your battery health (maximum capacity) is less than 100%. It will fluctuate both up and down over time. For further details, read the CHECKING STATUS AND HEALTH section of the following link.

This should answer most, if not all, of your battery questions:
