This thread it pointless. It automatically assumes that everyone's battery is calibrated correctly. If everyone set a timer and ran from 100-0 then that would be better.

That assumption is not without good reason. All modern Mac portables, dating as far back as 5 years, ship, and have shipped, with fully calibrated batteries.
That looks like the remaining charge time. 2013 MBAs should easily get 8+hrs on 84%.
My early 2011 13" MBP gets 5.5hrs with a few background apps and Chrome browsing, and 6.5hrs with Safari browsing. That is roughly up 40-70min increase. Looks like Apple lived up to their "additional hour of browsing" promise with Mavericks.
