Unfortunately, animate works with 4.2.1 untethered provided in Greenpois0n and redsn0w versions not using Jailbreak Monte only. However, it states that this will change eventually.

Strange, I had thought the Dev Team said they packaged the latest Pwnage Tool with the same exploit Greenpois0n uses, I had hoped to use my custom boot logos. I don't even need them animated, just want to use them! :)

Yes, jailbreak exploit. They did not add the animations stuff.
 
im currently on 4.1 using limera1n, can i not have a animated boot logo? will animate from cydia not work?
