Canadian iP5 user here. So far has been great, just disappointing to learn that telus only has 2 LTE towers in my city, and they're in downtown which is quite far from my uni. But other than that, perfect and I'm really glad with telus because of their customer support.
The plan I got (and actually the salesman who gave it to me said I could tell other people about it) is 300 minutes with 250 incoming minutes, unlimited weekends/evenings, 6GB of data, Voicemail, Caller ID, Call Waiting, Conference Calling and unlimited telus mobile to mobile. This is all for 55$/month plus tax. He also offered to give me 350$ port in credit, but unfortunately I didn't have a rogers or bell number to port in...
Any canadians interested in this, let me know and I'll PM you the guy's email so you can talk to him.
PM me on how you got such an awesome plan! would love to switch to Rogers but there plans are outrageous!
Thanks![]()
Can you PM me how you got that awesome plan?? Thanks!
Hello,
I'm from France And i'm on Canada until December ! I wanted to know if there are any way to get a cheap iPhone. I mean I subscribe for a plan and that I cancel it in December how much will it cost me ?
I wanted to know what is the activation fee that some carriers talk about ? And how much is it ?
Thanking you in advance![]()
It is cheaper to buy the phone outright from Apple (you can do this by ordering on their website online and choosing to pay full price). Then and ONLY then will it come unlocked, so you can still use it when you go back to France. It will be cheaper to do that, and then use it on a month to month plan until December then to order a phone on contract and then cancel the contract.
Telus, Rogers & Fido might unlock your phone, but probably not because most companies require you to have been a customer for at least 3 months and you won't if you leave by December
Hello fellow Canadians! Quick question... Do any of your white iPhone 5s have a tiny "light leak" similar to the one in the picture (just below the lock button where the front glass meets the frame)?:
Ok thanks for the answer! I think it's more interesting to buy it from the USA ! Do you know if there is a way to obtain a tax refund ?
It would be dumb to buy it from the USA, because it is only sold on a contract there, and you'll pay much more to cancel the contract. Also unless you buy the phone from Verizon it will be locked.
Although that reminds me, if you buy the iPhone in Canada, LTE won't work in France. Only the Verizon phone will, but you'll have to buy that on contract.
I don't know of any way of getting a tax refund to buy in the US. Although since I shop there regularly, I'm interested in knowing how if u find out
