JT,

You must live further away, because mine changed at 3:00 PM also and it's still supposedly showing up tomorrow at 10:30AM. Do you think that's impossible at this point, seeing how I have no updates aside from the 3:00 PM notice? Haha.

Well.. I am in Southern California. I wouldn't say I am any further. Well.. sounds like we are on the same place right now, this gives me some hope that it will arrive earlier then monday. Keep me posted. Thanks!

Mine did just update at 3PM Shanghai time to say "In Transit". Looks like it did just sit for almost a full day. I bet it is going to get on the flight FDX90 leaving at 9:18pm heading to Anchorage.

Im up in Pasadena but it looks like your mac and mine are on the same schedule. Wonder why they've just sat in China for over a day without doing anything. Not cool

Congrats Wendy! I was really hoping to get mine by Friday, but the FEDEX tracker says "Delivers by 11/3/08 by 10:30AM". I sure wish it hadn't sat an entire day yesterday because it missed that flight. Guess we'll see what happens now.

Right! Keep posting your status then.. :)

Oh really? See, I figure that once it leaves Anchorage, it would probably fly to Chicago and drive up. I don't expect that travel to take much time, but I'm starting to lose hope that it'll show up this week. I've got my replacement HDD here, but no computer or memory. I sure hope my 4 gigs of Crucial doesn't cause the freezing I've heard of..

Congrats! Hopefully ours will make it on the plane today. I am afraid mine missed the plane earlier...

I'm in the LA area as well... it looks like I'm a day behind you (mine doesn't even have a delivery date estimate yet) but I will not be surprised if we (or at least you and Pneublet) get them tomorrow. Sorta depends on how they route them after Anchorage. If they go to Oakland, maybe not. If they go to LAX, then maybe. It's not that critical to me but it'd be nice to have the new one for the weekend... and, of course, as a geek, it's fun to obsess... ;)

Mine's:

Oct 30, 2008 - 12:08 PM - Left FedEx origin facility SHANGHAI
Oct 30, 2008 - 11:53 AM - Picked up - SHANGHAI - Package received after FedEx cutoff
Oct 30, 2008 - 2:25 AM - Package data transmitted to FedEx

I'd be beyond impressed if they showed up here tomorrow.

Mine shipped early yesterday morning but under details it said "Package received after FedEx cutoff". As of now it's still "In Transit" in Shanghai. If FedEx can get it to arrive and delivered in California in 24 hours I'll be very impressed.

If our macs follow this route down to Los Angeles, CA. We may just get it on Friday. *Crosses Fingers*

I don't want to get your hopes up (because: who knows) -- but if you're on JT's schedule, prepare to be impressed. I know there's been a lot of FedEx griping in these threads, but FedEx's international logistics operation blows the balls off every other company on the planet. I've done a lot of international shipping with them - including Apple stuff of course - and it's nothing short of amazing how quickly they move stuff around.

The thing will still smell like Shanghai when they put it into your eager little paws.

Yeah this is what I'm gettin' at - you two really could see yours tomorrow. Mine's much more of a longshot.

Like I said a few posts back, for you two it depends on the Oakland / LAX thing.

Well I'm not getting my hopes up. Stupid question, but do they do home delivery on Saturdays?

JT,

This might sound like an overly obvious question (which it probably is), but that screenshot isn't from your order, right? I mean, the dates and all.. I saw that shot at first and was like 'Mine doesn't look like that at all! There is no hope!! No!!!'. But then I realized that Oct 23 isn't a Friday and that yours hasn't been delivered yet.

I guess my question should be rephrased to: Does your tracking page list anything after "Oct 30, 2008 3:00 PM In transit SHANGHAI CN "? I'm trying to keep my hopes alive here! :D

LOL.. no... it is not my order. I copied it from a previous post in this thread. It is similar to my order since it left about 3pm and made it through Anchorage and Oakland down to LA in 1 day.

The last entry is "October 30, 2008 3:00 PM In transit" just like yours.... i expect it to get updated when the plane lands in Anchorage in about 2 hours from now.

We'll see :)

That isn't hard just go to that site and look at all the fedex flights. And when yours was timestamped to have left.. bingo

Aha. I had no clue that you could check their flight schedule. In fact, this is the first time that I've ever had anything shipped Fed Ex that required flight! :p

JT,

How on earth did you figure out what the flight number was that has your machine? That's nifty!!

It is speculation that it is on that flight.. but I have a feeling it is. If you look back in the earlier pages of this thread it was discussed that the two flights coming from Shanghai to Anchorage were FDX90 and FDX24. I am sure we are on one of those.. .one arrives at 12:47pm and the other at 2:02 pm Alaska time. :)

I'll start with mine first:

Configuration: 2.8Ghz/7200rpm
Order: 15th Oct
Shipping method: Apple upgraded me to overnight(if available).
Shipping status: Not yet shipped
Courier service (Fedex, UPS or DHL): N/A
Shipped/Received date: N/A

GOT MINE!! Finally! Delivered to hotel on 17th,.... Checked in 18th,.... Typing on it right now.

Unfortunately, there's still yellow tint when view from the side,... but it's not as bad as previous generation.

Paid USD $2514, including free MiniDisplayPort-DVI and remote and no tax direct from Apple.com! :D

I think I'm part of this family also. My package left Anchorage at 2:39 but it still says estimated delivery on Nov 3rd. I'm still confused though, do they deliver on Saturdays?

Congrats! Quite the thread you've started here.

How did you manage to get a free DisplayPort-DVI adapter?
