did u order stock MB or MBP?

Yes it was a stock MBP 2.4 and to answer the other guys question, yes it comes from Shanghai.

My iPod Touch came from Shanghai too and it was shipped with FeDEX.

How come I'm the only unlucky one stuck with UPS? It will take more than a week to come here according to them.

With fedex, it took 4 days to get my iPod.

This kinda sucks since I paid as much as everyone here.

There seems to be a lot of 2.8GHz configurations ordered!

Did anyone find out what processor the 2.53GHz model comes with?

I see that a lot of you ordered the 2.8 instead of the 2.5. Will the difference be that much? I ask this because I do not know much about that kind of stuff. Should I go for the 2.8 also? I am going to be running Final Cut Studio, After Effects, and all the other video editing goodies.

I'm not quite sure why so many people go for the 2.8GHz upgrade - a 0.27GHz bump really isn't going to be noticeable, and certainly doesn't seem worth an additional $300.

That said:

Had some hiccups with the developer discount on this one so it didn't actually get released for processing until earlier today...probably gonna slow things down quite a bit. If only we could use the developer discount in the brick-and-mortar stores instead having to order it online.

It seems most people are going for 2.53 and 2.8 configs... does the 6mb L2 cache makes that much difference over the 3mb?

I see that a lot of people choose the 7200 HD. This makes me feel better cos I did the same but then regretted a bit cos I was scared that it would be a battery drainer and a heat producer for not a big perf bump.

How long has it been taking your orders to go from "Prepared for Shipment" to actually being shipped and getting a tracking number? Just curious.

It typically takes no longer than 24 hours, usually much shorter than that.
