if i bought mine today (pretty stock, 2 gig mem, 250 hd 5400 rpm) how long do you think i'd have to wait to get it?

Maybe 3 days? 4?

I'm finally typing on mine right now. This thing is beautiful! Took 6 days to get here, but I'm in love.

Order: 15th Oct
Shipping method: Apple upgraded me to overnight(if available).
Shipping status: Not yet shipped
Courier service (Fedex, UPS or DHL): N/A
Shipped/Received date: N/A

Update: Mine still at "Not yet shipped".....

Anyone else who placed order on 15 late night or 16 with same configuration has theirs shipped?

Looks like the earliest I can receive my MBP is 22nd Oct if it's shipped out tonight in China.

Still haven't quite figured out why it takes over 6 days to get to me from Anchorage, but that's what the UPS lady told me today on the phone, still don't have a delivery date on tracking info. And why have I not gotten a tracking update in the last 24 hrs? does it really take that long to fly from AK to Louisville???

I'm almost on the exact same schedule as you, looks like our Macs shipped together. I even ordered the same config - 2.8 with 320 7200 HD. Ordered at 4:20 PM CDT Oct 14. My AppleCare and Mini DisplayPort to DVI Adapter came today via FedEx. My MacBook Pro is scheduled to come anytime between today (20th) and Thursday the 24th. My UPS tracking is below

Ordered a 2.8ghz / 320gb@7200RPM MBP On Oct. 18. Still at "not yet shipped". Apple quoted me 3-5 business days before shipping, but if I go into the store and customize the MBP, putting in a 320gb/7200rpm bumps it up to 7-10 business days. I hope this is only for new orders not for ones already made!

Can't complain though, I'm just thankful I'm able to get one at all!

yeah i also checked online. thats sucks. im glad i ordered mine before. lets just hope the reason why it takes 7-10 business days isn't because they need to fix a bug or problem....

but then why else would apple have to bump up the shipping time from 3-5 to 7-10 business days just for adding the 320GB x 7200 HD to your MB Pro?

Looks like ours are together. Mine also left fedex's origin facility at 5:14pm. :) My destination is also NY, so it makes sense.

That makes three of us, although my destination is Kansas City so FedEx will probably just throw it out with a parachute on the way to NY ;)

So you are having yours ship to HK? I need to get mine by Friday coz I'll be heading to Asia,.... might go HK as well....
