Wow- these temps look high compared to my dual-core PM G5. I panic if that gets up to 130°F. I guess I need not worry. Under low processor useage it usually hovers around 95° to 110°.

This is when my PB is not plugged in. When it is plugged in the temp goes up around 140 degrees.

Aren't these heat signatures seriously too hot?! I thought it would be lower than this? What is the comparison from a G5 1.8Ghz single/dual to a 2Ghz Dual Xeon?

]It's funny, SMC Fan Control and Tempreture Monitor give me differnt temps. usually, SMC is about 20 degrees higher. I don't trust it.

Not at home right now, but normal tempreture is between 120 and 145 on my Intel Core Duo Mac Mini.

Celsius. Mac Pros run rather cool. My old G5 2.5 that the Pro replaced would sometimes hit 90-deg C!

I'd think about taking it in to Apple. It could probably be reapplying heat transfer compound will sort it.
