Not speaking for JamesMike - just trying to help by saying that it might be from the application called Magic Window(as seen(name) in the menubar)which is available on the Mac App Store in various releases - including a 4K version which this image and version of Magic Window doesn't appear to be.

Ah... I'm using Flavours on Yosemite - Lion theme.
It has a trans menubar so I used a pinstripe wallpaper, then applied the jaguar wall using photostickies.

No, this is not how mac supposed to look. Get rid of most of these apps from the dock. You have Spotlight, Launchpad and even better alfred. Change the desktop icon size.
