Mac: early 2011 MacBookPro8,2 with a 15" display, 1,440 x 900 pixels.
OS: PC-BSD 11.0-CURRENTMAR2016 with ATI and SCFB drivers
Desktop environment: KDE Plasma 4 (end of life).
Lumina, GNOME and other DEs are installed but I expect to use KDE Plasma most frequently; its multiple desktop capabilities are, in some ways, debatably better than Apple Mission Control.

What it does is to place a static image of your desktop background over the desktop, you’re able to Show Desktop with thumb and three finger swipe and/or Command-F3. I set the Global Hotkey for Hide/Show to Command-(Period), simple to remember and use, and isn’t already used elsewhere.

It's good to see how people work with their computers.
(A desktop background alone, no work on screen, tells me nothing about how people choose to use applications.)
