I may give it a shot. I've hidden Bluetooth, Moom, BTT, and a few other apps that I'd like to have in there, but I hate the look of a crowded menu bar.

I've been using it for years... the best part is that you can hide stuff that you don't use/need daily... you can set it to hide icons, but also allow them to show for a fixed perions (5 seconds, 10 seconds, etc) after something that uses the app happens.

Not to derail the thread here, but THAT is impressive. I thought it just hid the icons. I'll definitely need to look into that! Thanks.

Not to detract any further from the thread, but I couldn't help myself and I purchased it :D
One you said the it can auto-show icons when that app has activity I was sold. Now I can finally keep my Time Machine, BT, etc. icons in the menu bar instead of enabling them from System Preferences only when I need them.

It's quite the nifty feature. One thing that you could also do to further enhance the minimal look is to hide the menubar and let Bartender open up its own menubar upon launch and then put Bartender up against the corner of your monitor and then only put in things you'd like there. Makes for a cool and minimal look. Although can be impractical.
