Post your ETA for rMB 1.3 BTO

I just got a phantom UPS shipping notification about a 2-day air delivery tomorrow. The label was just created so no origin information yet... My order status still says "Processing". To my knowledge, I am not expecting any other shipments from places... Perhaps this is my MacBook? :)

i contacted customer support because i haven't seen movement since putting in my order may 12th. customer service rep says they have no information other than it's processing. mysteriously, my status moves to preparing shipment today. hilarious.
 
Finally! Out for delivery today! Couldn't be more in the middle of my original estimated 2 week delivery window!

Ordered on May 6th with a USB-C adapter.
 
Just noticed that all shipping estimates (including 1.3 BTOs) are now at 3-4 weeks. Anyone know if/how this affects orders placed at the time of the 3-5 week estimate?

Nope, all I know is that I cancelled a 7 week old order in Sweden, because it had been delayed to the point of not arriving before my summer vacation in San Diego, and upon ordering from the US Apple Store on the 12th of June, yesterday, I got 3-4 Weeks for the SG 1.3/512 model estimated delivery July 10-17. Now I am crossing my fingers that my bad luck is over and Apple will actually get it to me a couple of days early...one can always dream...
 
Ordered May 28th with 3-5 week ship estimate.

Preparing for Shipment as of today, June 15th. :D

This Thursday (June 18th) would have technically been week 3, so a reasonably accurate estimate.

Ahh that's exciting! What SSD capacity/color if I might ask? I ordered May 29... so maybe I'm one day behind? :)
 
Expected arrival date: June 19. Ordered May 22. rMB 512 1.3 SG
originally expected arrival date was between June 25 and July 8, so im quite happy. I am from Switzerland btw... :)

Estimated delivery: 19th June - 2nd July
Changed to preparing for shipment today: Tuesday 16th June
 
For those who paid for expedited shipping... how did the timing work for the charge to your credit card and the change to "preparing for shipment"? I had the $13 shipping charge when I first placed the order, which never posted and disappeared after a few days. Just tonight the $13 pending charge has reappeared as "pending," but no PFS or charge for the computer itself. Thanks!
 
Well, I thought mine was on its way to me.. Its been to Shanghai, Tokyo, back to Shanghai, and is now in Taiwan. Three countries in three days, none of which are the US.
 
For those of you (like me) whose credit cards have been charged but who statuses haven't immediately changed to "preparing for shipment," here's an explanation from online chat:

Agent: The charge that you are seeing is just an authorization. There are two. The shipping and the MacBook. Those authorizations will drop off. It’s just to make sure the funds are there.

Me: I see. So you can tell in your system the difference between charges that are just there to test for funds and charges that will actually precede shipment?

Agent: Yes, I sure can.
 
Ordered mine from Stormfront premium seller in Cornwall, UK. Ordered it on the 16th of May with an accepted 3-5 week delivery. After 4 weeks I checked for an updated delivery date and they still can't say - absolutely pathetic

i've ordered mine on the 19th of april through a local reseller.
it's been two months now, and i still get the "we can't tell you anything, it's apples fault.."

Yapp, same story everywhere it seems. The "premium" resellers in the European countries are getting a back seat to direct orders - that's why I canceled mine and ordered again, with excellent results:

New order made June 11th directly with Apple to my summer USA address
3-4 weeks expected delivery date July 10-17
SG 1.3/512 | Swedish Keyboard | Apple Care

Card Charged today, June 22nd
Status changed to Preparing for Shipment today, June 22nd
Still says July 10-17 expected delivery though.

Either way, 11 day turn around for preparing for shipping is good considering my previous experience with Dustin, a premium reseller in Sweden, who gave the exact same spiel as you experienced.

I've been in Preparing for Shipment since Saturday, June 20. I was expecting a shorter transition to Shipped...
