Pretty self explanatory.

I myself like Tide and April Fresh Downy. Not the Tide with downy crap, the original powder Tide and April Fresh Downy in the Downy ball. Then dry it with downy april fresh sheets. Wash and rinse in "warm" water.
I get comments on how good my clothes smell all the time...

So how do you wash your clothes? :D

this is a funny thread....

but i'm bored, so i'll play. :D

i have a front load washer & dryer, so i can only use the HE detergent. i use the grocery store brand because it's cheapest. it doesn't smell like anything special, but it works just fine. ;)

now, i do use a special fabric softener...downy simple pleasures in magnolia & orange blossom. smells soooooo good. :)

We have a front loader as well, and we use the Planet brand powder

Gets 40 loads because you only have to use 1/2 a scoop.

Works on baby clothes really well, no perfume and junk.

does that work well in cold water? we don't wash anything in warm or hot...and in the past i've been disappointed with powder detergent because it doesn't dissolve.

we have a samsung washer with something called silvercare...it sanitizes in cold water, so cold is all we ever use. it's pretty cool. :)

if anything, i'll remember that for when the husband and i start making babies. :p

It looks like Planet has a liquid detergent, but it doesn't say if it works in HE machines. Method is a liquid concentrate that works in HE and regular machines...phosphate free, and the free + clear version is dye and fragrance free too.

It seems pretty expensive. We use Tide Concentrated, which does about 100 loads for $15 (from Costco). Seems to work well in our LG HE washer, but I'd be willing to try something else out, I suppose. Can the Method brand only be ordered online?

I don't plan far enough ahead to be able to wait for delivery...

Edit: Nevermind - I now see the where to buy section. I'll have to check it out.

I am so with you on that one. I hate fragrant laundry detergent with a burning passion. I hate the fragrant softener too.

Too me, clothes smell the best when they're still brand new in the store; that's why I'll wait until I absolutely have to before I wash a new garment.

I use ARM & HAMMER fragrance free detergent and fragrance free Downy.

I agree about the fragrences. Its makes my throat close up. Most perfumes do that to me to.

My work uses a uniform service so at least those are always cleaned and pressed for me. Too many chemicals in em to bring them home anyways.:p

At home I wait until I can't find any more shirts I like that aren't wrinkled or smelly, (i hang em back up after wear if they don't look or smell worn to save energy and water) and then throw my clothes all together in the washer with Surf, of course;) and some Downy fabric softener.

"I'm in pest control." *cocks 9mm
