next purchase after drum heads, is headphone pads.
wow doesn't seem a slight odd, i actually have products that are good enough to get replacement parts for.

That Shuffle + headphone amp idea is actually very good. I might just do that, except I'll be using a CMoy and much crappier headphones (Apple In-Ears).
Here are my phones. Will pick up Apple In-Ears soon... I'm not an outrageous audiophile but I'm getting tired of the muddy sound of the Skullcandies.
Panasonic RP-HTX7s, somehow found a pair for only $13.
Skullcandy Smokin Buds. Blech!
And of course the iPhone headset.

you can get those for under $200 on Amazon
yeah but once you listen to your music on something like those, etymotic, or Ultimate ears, you will know right away it was worth every penny you spent.

my one complaint about my vmoda vibes is that they are slightly uncomfy so i ordered a set (well 3 sets) of these for them, hopefully this will fix that. they seem to be well liked among everyone who uses them.
oh and i have vmoda vibes in chrome (old style with the straight plug).

Not really much point... In-ears don't take much juice to run, so amping them won't make much difference in terms of sound quality. If I were you I'd take the money you would spend on a cmoy and Apple headphones and spend it all on a (slightly) nicer set of in-ears.

i love my comply tips if thats anything.
but you really have to be careful walking around with them, you can not hear s)*& even if your music is low.

they are way better, you dont even feel you have them in. i know the vmoda's silicon tips are really uncomfy and you really feel pressure with them in your ear but the foam tips are a world difference. i hope you got the right ones for the vmoda ( comply T-400)

They're phenomenal. They blow everything I've ever put on my head away! Including all the Sennheisers...
I've considered a pair of Beyerdynamic 'in-ears' for my iPod... any experience?

I'm using the new Apple In Ear buds. They're great and most things on them work with my iPhone.

ah, very nice. I've got a pair of SR225's as well and actually preferred them to the RS-2's, they just sounded more fun.
Larry at Headphile does a great job, he woodied my DT770s a couple of years ago and they were beautiful.

o btw zebra wood is sexy, along with curly maple, and this other wood i can not remember.
