I have that TV... is that the 52 LED Aquos Quattron?
Wow that mounted shelf (the depth of it) is HUGE... how much weight can it support? Looks like it's on it's way to ripping a hole in the wall!
Yup. If you look straight out you can see the Bank of America football stadium (you can see it in one of the pics). If you look out to the left then you get that view
If you don't mind me asking... how much is your rent? I'd LOVE to move out there lol.

Its actually not that big, its a lack shelf from ikea and the front of the shelf reaches the front of the tv. I put my left/center/right speakers on there (bigger speakers than the ones that are in the pic). I recently got a 58" tv and moved the whole setup in the living room, just waiting to get new speakers/sub to complete the makeover.
Yeah, we just moved in a week ago and the landlord said it's there because of drafts. The main floor is noticeably cooler than upstairs even with it on.
Now that is some set of equipment. The B&W 800 series is the absolute king of the hill in my book. I've auditioned them on several occasions. Just need to bring myself to spend the $20k.

Yes, I am a member at AVS, but I do not go there too often. I only have around 400 posts since 2004.
I spend most of my time at the blu-ray.com forums.Here are some quick pics of my setup.
I constructed the room in my basement myself and built the two black cabinets. The room is fairly small @ 16x15 - but I find it really about perfect for my needs. It's connected via two french doors to a large rec room so there's plenty of room nearby. The screen was also diy @ about 94" diagonal. Not huge by front projection standards- but it's considerably larger then the 55" LCD outside the room.
Very nice setup. What size screen are you running? I would love a projector, but the WAF is totally against it right now. Besides the projector and screen would put me at about $8K.
Hot diggity. Beautiful stuff. That sub is a monster. How low can it drop? Can it hit as low as 15Hz? Talk about ground-shaking bass ...
Thanks for the compliment. It's not quite 15Hz. It is rated to have a +/-3dB 18Hz-200hz anechoic extension.
It's terrible quality, and the product isn't finished, but I thought I'd post anyway. I like it a lot. I've got my Sound Bar w/ wireless sub over my 52 LED Sharp Aquos Quattron. Black Wii sitting beside my Apple TV, and the PS3 is next over. Still lots of work to do to make it look less plain.
I'm also waiting on my Cyron LED system to arrive. I love this center.

Naw, it's actually just the way that you install the doors (any, but it's obviously more pronounced in the glass ones).. it's almost impossible to get 'em straight. And I have a husband that is very easily bored when it comes to household projects, so he gave up rather quickly. 
Aww that reminds me of the time that I went camping in South Dakota... I met up with my friend who also happened to be camping in South Dakota. He was staying at a campground that had an outdoor theater. This is what reminded me of it

What kind of monitor arms did you buy for the ACD.
I can't get over how over the last 10 years, Americans (only because I live in the US and don't really know how the outside of this country operates) have created their own movie theatres at home. It used to be we had one family TV that was no bigger than 21 inch and a few VHS off TV shows we missed while we were at work. Now we have a TV in every room (some even 50 inch or more), way more than a hundred DVDs, music everywhere. I remember when having 30 CDs was a lot. I look at myself and don't know how it happened. I'm one person with 3 HDTVs. I used to go to the movies every week, now I go maybe 6 times a year... if that. I always had a decent record collection when I was a kid so I can understand my CD collection is at 1k but I never was interested in VHS or laser disc. How did I go so insain with DVDs? Yes, in the beginning I got some great deals with online coupons, Publishers Clearing House and now they flooded the market and you can get some good older stuff for under $5. I see some of these set-ups and want to redo my entire house. How did having furniture that lasted over generations turn into changing every 5 years?

I'm more of the VHS generation and i pretty much recorded any movies i liked. But i know what you mean, during that time things lasted long, things last 5 years. I loved dvd until I began to love Blu-ray.
Also in regard of going to the movies, personally it comes down to prices of the tickets. I usually would go every week, but now just when movie really interest me.
Nice to see another owner of these on MR. I have them in my office.
The quality of movies at home improved significantly with DVDs and DD5.1. It has all gotten better and better since then. We rarely go see a movie out of the house anymore. We usually have a backlog of movies on the DVR and a Netflix bluray waiting to be seen, as it is.

lol, the sticker on the tv is freaking huge. Also why do you keep the plastic wrapping around tv? The sticker and the wrapping can come off you know.
