I stopped by the local Best Buy (big city) and they only had one or two iMac models. The guy said they hadn't gotten any new shipments in a long time and were waiting for the product refresh. He said the same about MBP but I didn't care about that.

Best Buy is now completely out of stock of iMacs and the sales rep said they have been told they would not get another shipment until the new model is released.

Well that sounds promising. Saying that though, if the new iMac does come out on monday, constraints on current stock has been a lot less severe than in previous releases.

Well i went on the besbuy ipone app to search imac & 27" imac. Only some 21" models appear. No 27" in stock apparently

Seems like 27" disappeared all together off Best Buy's website, from the iphone app earlier it was showing none in stock here in Portland, Or. The macbook pros aren't available for shipping, except for the 15" base model and aren't available in store either. You can still apparently get the 21.5" base model imacs in store.

Amazon Germany is, for the first time since the rumors started, almost out of stock.

Low 21": In stock
High 21": 3 left
Low 27": 6 feft
Hight 27" 11 left

I think it has something to do with too many people holding off buying a new one. Maybe sale is too slow, even for apple predictions because they are simply too old and expensive. Like the Mac Pro, would be interesting to know how many machines they are selling daily worldwide of the current model....I would be surprised if we are talking thousands per day...

New imac will come mon tues or wed. Its so time

9to5 meant they see no RETINA imac. Not NO imac

How do you know that 9to5Mac meant something different to what it actually said?

Copied from my reply to your similar post in the "What to expect..." thread:

-------------------

But it did say it was a possibility there'd be no new iMac, not simply "no Retina iMac".

http://9to5mac.com/2012/06/08/wwdc-...s-and-os-x-mountain-lion-bonus-new-apple-app/

9to5Mac said:
...we think it is possible that Apple will not update the iMac at WWDC, but, instead, the 13-inch and 15-inch MacBook Pros.

With all of the above on the new Macs in mind, we have drawn up two possible scenarios for the 2012 WWDC Mac refresh. These scenarios differ based on whether Apple releases a new iMac or spec-bumped 13-inch and 15-inch MacBook Pros with its current form-factor.

...

As you can see, either way, Apple will release updates to four of its Mac lines, as we first reported. It seems that the Retina Display next-generation 15-inch MacBook Pro, new MacBook Air, and Mac Pro are likely announcements at WWDC, but the fourth new Mac is up for debate. Based on pricing structures, it is very possible that Apple takes either route. However, the current pricing compared to the pricing for this fourth Mac update leans more on scenario 1* happening. That would mean two sets of 15 inch MacBook Pros (current design, and next-gen design + Retina Display).

[* Scenario 1: spec. bumped MBPs with the current design, instead of a new iMac.]

Theres no reason not to update the imac. It is coming. Your all taking one rumor idea sentence and putting it above all other logical assumptions and facts

I dont see retina imac. And of imac isnt updated at the keynote, then silent when the store is down mon or tues night

Imac is different than mac pro. It wont be neglected longer

Oh, I agree it needs an update, and that this is all based on one (hopefully BS) rumour by some "analyst", but you were saying that 9to5Mac *only* said "no Retina", which isn't the case.

Ok well my apologies. I could have sworn i read what i said somewhere. Regardless, i dont buy into adding a new mb line. Let alone avoiding imacs.

Nonetheless, imac stock on bestbuy , amazon and other sites are diminished. So wwdc keynote .. Maybe. Wwdc week highly likely. June as a whole 99%. Well know monday. 100%

i cant wait to order it and stop checking this site

I called local bestbuy and they are out of most imacs

Both that store and the 800 # for BB did not have a restock definite date . But the cust service person said Apple is pretty quick to refill orders and this is rare that an item gets wiped from the website. They expect new models or more models soon

Yup, I think the whole idea of a 3rd MacBook makes no sense. MacBook Air with a spec. bump & "Retina" - great. MacBook Pro ("New"?) with a spec. bump & "Retina" & a thinner design - great. But *another* MacBook line too, by keeping the current MBP design and just giving it a spec. bump? WTF?

After the Mac Pro, the iMac has had the longest wait since an upgrade (of the current range). It *needs* an update, even if just a spec. bump & Ivy Bridge.

I can't wait either! :) This will be my first Mac, so hopefully soon I can bin my crappy PC...

Maybe over there, but Amazon UK has no shortness of stock, they are however selling them for an average of £100 lower than Apples own price!

Well i just looked at a 8core mac pro, maxed out imac 27" and a maxed out 15" mbp. All wont be available in store for BTO pickup until the 20th or so. But some options are ready the 12th

Bestbuy has slim imac inventory and website has no 27"

If there's no update at WWDC, i'm done with waiting. Spending my money on another L lens or two.
