How did you apply an Instagram filter to a non-square picture?
You don't have to make a picture square to use it in Instagram. Pictures that are not square will have black bars on the top/bottom or left/right. Pictures in portrait orientation are a little more difficult to work with in Instagram though. There is a way of fitting them in there, but it involves a little work. Landscape pictures are easy though, you'll just have black bars on the top and bottom.

Yeah I survived, thanks. I actually live in Hudson County. The greatest views of Manhattan can be seen from NJ or Brooklyn, it's just amazing.
Dovedale stepping stones. It was chucking it down, so glad i didn't take my "compact" (olympus ep3) as everything was soaked, apart from my touch in my inside coat pocket!
