Yeah. I was there last year with my wife and then this year with a friend of mine and we spent hours taking pictures on both sides. It is lovely but the whole touristy aspect is kind of awful but there's a lot you can do to enjoy it as well. I've got some panoramas from the canadian side as well.

Standing in one spot and rotating the camera 180 degrees will automatically result in a fish eye looking picture. If you wanted a non-fish eye panoramic you'd have to physically walk the length of the picture.
