Hi, I'm a relatively new iPhone user, and was wondering if it's possible to have gaps between the apps on the home screen. Want to use a family pic as my wallpaper but don't want to cover people with apps! It doesn't seem to let u put apps wherever u want.

Have seen other posts where people have done this and they have referred to this site:

http://www.blank.appleiphone.fr/

But I can't get it to work. Any help please?

One thing you could do is put your apps in folders, so that there are fewer things on your home screen and more of the wallpaper shows through.

Beer and lager

Beer and lager to make you feel better in the hot weather (or more thirsty)

EDIT wrong thread...will post in the wallpaper thread instead

Changed mine. Had the closeup leaf photo previously, but found some simple backgrounds I liked better. Less busy, and since I'm using some glyphs and emojis, the simpler the better.

Thanks - that's what I've done, although it would just be nicer if we could put apps/folders wherever we wanted to on the screen, rather than them having to go from top to bottom and left to right.

How are yall getting emoji as your titles for your folders? No globe pops up when I go to rename my folders.

I have been using the emoji in the notes app and doing a copy and paste into the title name.

How do you know it's an iphone 4?

This thread is iOS4 home screen thread.

I would say jailbroken 3G or 3GS

well it does have the flashlight app. It would be pretty useless on a 3GS.

Alos his sig says he has an iPhone 4, however; the screenshot is not 640x960 although he could have easily scaled it down.

Well look at the carrier, it's "Adam". It's Jailbroken.

That doesn't necessarily mean it's jailbroken. If you jailbreak and change the carrier name then restore and restore from a backup, the carrier name will be what you set it to, even on the official OS. If it is an iPhone 4 he could have restored from a backup from a jailbroken 3G/3GS and have the carrier name changed.
