just changed my home screen layout for the first time in months... finally found something i like.

Are any of you guys have iphone 3G and not 3GS? Can you have a wallpaper on home-screen with iphone 3G?

I do, and, sadly, no. Us iPhone 3G people cannot personalize our home screens

Not true. Sure you can have a homescreen wallpaperon a 3G, but not without custom firmware or jailbreak apps.

How do you this to a home screen? I have tried moving all my apps to one folder but it won't let me. I've also tried movie apps to a second screen but it defaults them all to the first if I don't have any on the first screen! I would really appreciate a walk through

I know this is an old post, but the one below it is totally wrong. You don't need to be jailbroken. All you do is move all the icons to another screen. You have to do it on the phone not in iTunes. I'm not sure how much of a walk through is needed all you do is drag the apps over.
