As far as the widget goes, how are you bringing it up and letting it stay on your home screen without disappearing? Your app icons are also not blurred out I know Im doing something wrong
Scroll down to the bottom and see the settings, there is a toggle to keep it on.
Which app icon is blurred?

oh I must be doing it wrong then..so when I scroll to get the widget to appear on the home screen, I go to edit? Because that is what I see when I go to the widgets itself, or do I have to go into settings?

if you don’t have the widget on the first screen, first you need to scroll lett to see them, than you need to scroll the widget all the way of the bottom, there is an Edit button, there you can toggle to always visible or something like that. That is the first thing there, hard to miss. :)

maybe its because my Mom has an old iPad but cant seem to get this to come up, from the tutorial

How to keep widgets on the Home Screen

A new feature in iPadOS 13 is the ability to keep your widgets accessible from the Home Screen (only the first page). Getting this set up is easy.

  1. Make sure you're on the first page of your iPad Home Screen.
  2. Swipe right to bring up your widgets view.
  3. Scroll down to the bottom of your widget list until you see the Edit button.
Swipe right, scroll down and tap Widget Edit button

first off, when I see the widgets, all the apps on the right side are blurry, not sure why, maybe it depends on the ipad..will do this later with my new iPad Pro 11 inch..but Im not even seeing the
In Keep on Home Screen, tap the toggle to turn itgreen (ON).
that is not there at all..and hers is the 9.7 inch maybe the size makes the difference?

Ok I think I might have figured this out..it might be because I put the app size back to normal size not the tiny ones could that be it?

Yeah, it’s a toss up. Standard (large) icons = no widget on home. Small icons = widget allowed on home. I hate the small icons so have forfeited widgets on home screen.

Yeah that was the case, I didnt realize it til I installed it on my iPad Pro that is the case, the only way to have widgets is with small icons

how did u managed to put so many app on the dock? mine can only put 15

You can fit 15 apps or folders, plus 3 recently used on an iPad 12.9”. I think it’s 13 apps or folders, plus 3 recently used on a 9.7”, 10.5” or 11”.
