Lol, I was thinking the same thing! That notification on my email drives me crazy though so I check mine all the time.

That's one of the reasons I'm rocking an Android phone - don't have to check at all. IT let's me know when something's come in. Very liberating.

I know it sounds preposterous but I'm on a Galaxy S7. Had a 6S and a 6 before that for about a year

I guess that's the one difference - email alerts on the iPhone don't come up like "normal" notifications do. But, there is a nothing stopping you opening the app once a while...!

I used the Note series until they made the iPhones bigger with the 6+ ... then I switched to iOS. This year I thought I'd give android another try with the Note 7 and it was lagging and freaking up pretty bad within the first three days so needless to say I returned it. I just can't with android anymore. I was really excited about that phone but it let me down (this was prior to knowing about the battery exploding issue). Anyway, totally happy with my 7+ now

Also, I love the subtle email notifications on the iPhone. I didn't too much care for it in the status bar on android.
