What number where you in line and did you get what you came for? I take it you were at a Apple Store?

Yea it was at a big Apple Store in the Atlanta area. It was for the iPhone 6 two years ago. I was about 45-50th in line. I never told anyone this but... at some point during the night they came out and announced if you have a reservation to come over here in this other line - where no one was standing. Exactly two people went over there. I pretty much knew I wasn't going to get what I wanted (6 Plus, 128GB, Silver) being that far back in line so I said screw it and I went and stood in that other line. Well by morning the other two people had disappeared. I was alone. They opened the doors to the mall and let me in. Just ME! Everyone else queued up eventually outside the store. I was eventually led into the store first - to all the employees cheering and clapping. haha! And I left with the very first phone out of the store. Not really sure how that worked but they never asked me for any information. Just asked what phone I wanted. I felt a little bad about that. But not bad enough I guess. :D

Got here at 10:45pm.. it's 2:15am and I'm still alone. 0.0

In a decently size city in Alabama (population is about 200,000).

I really want a 7 Plus in either black, and any size. I really want Matte Black 32gb though.

Another guy just showed up so I jumped out my truck with my fold out chair and and he was like it's cool I know you're #1. He even asked if I wanted to come in his truck and watch a movie. We chatted for about five minutes and both agreed when/if someone else pulls up we will commence to setting up shop in line lol

Shouldn't you put your chair out there just in case?

And that guy invited you to a movie in his car? Stranger danger!!

Hello everyone! Reporting live from Miami lol passed by the falls mall where the line usually starts at the sidewalk, no one there! It's usually packed there, assuming that people have read and seen the video of Apple Store not having 7+ stock seems to have discouraged lines at Apple stores. I'm currently in front of a T-Mobile store camping out and no one else in sight, so 1st in line . Would add a pic but it's erroring out. Saying something about file too large lol

Nice SI. :)

Currently sitting in the AT&T parking lot. Only one here. Woo!

There's a sign on the door saying where the line starts with the "We'll open at 8am" message.

Happy and sad no one else is here. Upset because I could've slept longer, but happy because I'm the first here!

I was in ginza Tokyo Apple Store yesterday at 6 pm, just saw 3-4 guys standing outside in what appeared to be a sorry excuse of a line. I remember watching YouTube videos from a few years back, it used to stretch for blocks. Maybe there's no fanfare because there's no major redesign. Curious to see video clips next year if there will be a long line coz of a new design. Or maybe not.

Jsut an update for me.

Been here for 7.5 hours(4.5 to go!), still only me and the other person that got here instantly after me, though something interesting just happened....

I was laying on the sidewalk sleeping and was woken up by a cop. I guess they are looking for some homeless guy around here so they asked why I was sleeping on the sidewalk here but they were cool about it once I told them I was waiting for the phone lol. They said as long as I felt safe here and everything I was fine, and thought I was crazy for waiting for a phone. They apologized for waking me up and told me to stay warm as they left.

Good times!

I've seen probably a total of 10 cops drive by (granted the city hall is right down the street). I'm just patiently waiting for one to pull in and ask why I've been parked here for the past hour lol (ironically one just drove by as I typed that).

Naw man he is just a friendly country boy from the looks of it. I passed though, just sitting in my truck and was trying not to look at the time, but epic fail. I don't think we need to put chairs out, like I said we are the only ones here at moment and we have all entrances covered for when someone pulls up

One person other than myself here at tmo store. Glad I'm Not alone any more was starting to feel like I would be the only one.

Somebody has clearly camped out for an iPhone before
This is my second time! I camped out at this same store for my 6+, but that time I was not prepared.

I was with my brother and he was driving, and it was around 10pm. I was planning on going home and coming to the store at like 2 or 3am, but on our way home we happened to be driving by, so I told him to pull in and see if there was anyone there.

Sure enough there were already 2 people there so I had him drop me off. Had a coat but that was about it, no chair no blanket or anything. And it was cold that year too! He refused to bring me anything else lol and just said he'd be back at 8am. So I sat on the concrete for 10 hours :/

Schweet story, bro.

I like seeing and hearing employees clapping when people enter. Feels good when you first walk inside and just for a few seconds, we can feel like a Hollywood movie star. Talk about the red carpet treatment.

Mine was on June 24, 2010. Preordered the 4 at Best Buy about 9 days prior. Was 11th on the list and was in and out of Best Buy within 30 minutes with my 32gb black iPhone 4. Except holding it felt slippery. The Cerritos mall had a grand opening for an Apple Store nearby. I was able to cut in line over hundreds of people because all I was going to buy was a black bumper, so they put me in a different line.

I was inside the new store within 10 minutes. Got a free, black Los Cerritos t-shirt with Apple logo and a free bottle of water. Didn't get my free Chick-fil-A though. Best launch day experience ever. Went to watch the Jaden Smith version of The Karate Kid. I didn't care how mediocre it was. Enjoyed the scenery in China and was so ecstatic with the 4, I didn't care if it was bad!

Again, not into the whole Apple products and ecosystem but I have nothing against the launch day experience, the people who buy Apple products, and building camaraderie with people having the same passion as mine. It feels nice to enter an Apple Store and for a few seconds when they cheer for us, we all feel really special inside.
